An invitation

One day, the Pope arrived in New York. He went to his limousine. He said,
“Hello” to his driver and got into the back seat of his car.

The Pope looked out of the window of the car. He remembered what it was like
to drive. He wished he could drive again. After travelling for some time, the Pope
asked the driver, “May I drive?”

The driver said, “Yes. I can’t say no to you.” The driver got out of the car. The
Pope sat in the driver’s seat. The driver sat in the back.

The Pope was a bad driver. He forgot how to drive because he always had a
driver. He drove too fast. He didn’t drive straight.

Two police officers were in a car. George drove the police car, and David was his
partner. It was George’s first day as a police officer.

George and David drove behind the Pope. They saw the Pope’s bad driving. They
turned on the lights on the top of the police car. The Pope pulled over to the
side of the street.

George got out of the car and walked over to the Pope. As soon as George saw
who was driving, he went back to the police car. He told his partner, “I need your
help. There is a very important person in that car.”

David asked, “Is it the mayor?”

“More important than the mayor!” George replied.

David asked, “Is it the governor?”

“Even more important than the governor!” he replied.

David asked, “Is it the president?”

“I don’t know,” George said. “But, whoever it is, the Pope is his driver!”

The story

“May I drive?” Because the driver couldn’t say “no” to him, they switched
places, and the Pope sat in the driver’s seat. However, the Pope was a terrible
driver: he drove too fast and didn’t drive straight. George and David, who were

George went to him but got confused when he saw the Pope was driving the
limo. George thought the man in the back seat was a very, very important

The Pope’s story

One day, I got into my limousine, said “Hello” to my driver and sat into the back
seat. After some time, I wished I could drive so I asked my driver, “May I drive?”
Because the driver couldn’t say “no” to me, we switched places, and I sat in the
driver’s seat. However, I was a terrible driver: I drove too fast and didn’t drive
straight. Two police officers, saw my limo, and came after it. When I pulled over,
one of the officers came to me but got confused when he saw that I was driving
the limo. I think he thought my driver was a very, very important person.
