Noisy neighbour
Mrs Evans is angry. Very loud music is coming from her neighbours’ house. They are the Phillips family. They have a teenage son. She is now going to tell them to turn the music down. Mrs Evans is knocking hard on their front door. Mr Phillips is answering the door.
Mr Phillips: “Hello, Mrs Evans. How are you?”
Mrs Evans: “Fed up! Please, tell your son to turn his music down. Please! It is so loud! My head aches and the walls shake! Please go to his room and tell him now. ”
Mr Phillips is looking at the floor. His face goes red. He looks ashamed and embarrassed.
Mr Phillips: “I’m afraid I can’t do that, Mrs Evans.”
Mrs Evans: “Why ever not?”
Mr Phillips: “My son is out for the day. It is not his music, it’s mine!”
