Can I get you…? Meaning: Can I bring you?

Can I get you some sugar for your cappuccino?

Can I tempt you with…? Temptation is a desire (a strong wish) to do something that is basically bad or wrong. For example, eating too much chocolate is unhealthy, so chocolate can be a temptation to people. We’re using this idea in the phrase: “Can I tempt you with …?”

Can I tempt you with another piece of cake?

Can I interest you in…? This means: Is it possible to make you interested in sth?

Can I interest you in a holiday in the Bahamas?

Why don’t you …

Why don’t you have another biscuit? Meaning: Please, have another biscuit.

Why don’t you let me …?

Ah, your cup is empty. Why don’t you let me pour you some more tea? Which means: Please, let me pour you some more tea.

Cool. Now go on to the next video and see more examples.
